While the world reflects on the passing of Fidel Castro we have been exposed to the non-stop scenes of Miami grave dancers who do not represent the majority of the sincere American people. The Miami Cubans are a tiny minority and the unrelenting media focus on their grave dancing in the aftermath of Fidel Castro's death disguises the whole truth.

The United States House of Representatives passes Engel Bill to Strengthen Caribbean Engagement.

The bill, H.R. 4939, United States–Caribbean Strategic Engagement Act of 2016, was introduced on April 14, 2016, by Rep. Eliot Engel (D-NY) and was referred to the Committee on Foreign Affairs, which ordered the bill reported by Unanimous Consent on April 20, 2016

Last week the Washington Post ran an article on the 10 best places to eat in Beltsville. True, Beltsville is not the first place that usually pops into my mind as a dining destination, but I do like foods that are authentic to their origins and these top 10 were all “ethnic” foods.

S. Donnie Bridgeman was sworn in yesterday as a council member in the historic town of Bladensburg Maryland. In attendance were his parents, siblings, Maryland State Senator – 47th District Victor R. Ramirez, Jolene Ivey, former Maryland State Delegate and wife of former Prince George’s County (Maryland) State’s attorney Glenn Ivey and several others.
